Game Fish Update – August 24th, 2026 Patch Notes

Source: Steam Community

It's been two weeks since launch and a week since our last patch. We've been listening to your feedback and focusing on pacing. We've tuned progression so the difficulty curve is smoother, not too easy early on and not a brick wall at the end.

Your journal now tracks Mastery for each fish. The more you catch of a species, the better grades you'll find. And if you're missing a grade, Grade Luck will quietly build in your favor until a catch finally pays off.

The Arcade is now open! From your sidebar you can play Guppy Fish or Memory Matching, either solo or by right-clicking another player at your pier. Nothing in the Arcade pays FP and your line stays in the water, it's all for fun and bragging rights. Right-click any fish in your Aquarium to set it as your Champion, which is used in arcade games for now.

We've also packed in some UI fixes:

  • The Titles tab is now a browsable grid, and you can pick your title from your profile card.
  • Renaming a fish while a catch came in no longer blanks the panel.
  • Profile portraits are no longer blurrier than your character on the dock.
  • The right-click player menu now shows in your language.
  • Full docks no longer vanish from the pier browser.

Thanks for fishing! For the full version history, check out the patch notes.
