Day 2 Patch: Smoother Waters Arrives for Pier Pals
Source: Steam Community
What’s New in Day 2 Patch
The Day 2 Patch for Pier Pals, titled “Smoother Waters,” is here. It rebalances progression, improves top-end payouts, and tackles several multiplayer issues. Your journal, gear, and purchases remain untouched.
Progression Changes
The pier was too front-loaded, letting you catch most fish quickly and then hit a steep wall. The journey now takes a bit longer but feels far more consistent.
- Epics and Legendaries now pay what their rarity deserves.
- Journal counts grade by default; your numbers may look different but nothing was lost.
- Bag upgrades cost much less early on.
Social and Multiplayer Fixes
Chum is now more useful for lobbies, and a few quality-of-life improvements make playing with friends easier.
- Chum lasts a full hour for the same price, and anyone in the lobby can use it.
- Using chum announces who paid for it, so the lobby knows who to thank.
- Invites now work when the game is closed.
- A chat filter has been added with options for Everyone, Friends Only, or Mute All.
